Hello there!! I'm Rokia Elgharably, an Egyptian pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Currently navigating the fascinating world of gears and machines, I am set to graduate in the spring of 2025. My journey through the realm of mechanical engineering has been a captivating one, marked by a passion for innovation and a commitment to solving real-world problems. As an aspiring engineer, I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible and contributing meaningfully to the field. Why mechanical engineering?

Though I always dreamed of being an engineer, I never thought about mechanical engineering until I learned more about it—and that's when I fell in love. What drew me in was the incredible variety of opportunities it offers, such as aerospace, energy, construction and so much more. I'm excited about the chance to be part of a field that shapes the world and contributes to progress in so many different areas. For me, choosing mechanical engineering is not just a career choice; it's a chance to follow my passion for solving problems and making a real impact.
